Vehicle-resistant barriers

A vehicle-resistant barrier is a barrier on the edge of a civil engineering structure to prevent pedestrians or (motor)cyclists from falling from the structure, with in addition a barrier function according to EN 1317 for vehicles that have run out of course. In the case of overhead intersecting infrastructure of national roads (motorways), a H2-resistant level is applied.

The vehicle-resistant barriers that Laura Metaal Road Safety offers, all have a CE certificate. There are various versions, depending on the situation on location. In order to prevent the possibility of climbing over and falling, a netting is installed on the traffic side, thus satisfying the requirements. Vehicle-resistant barriers can be supplied hot-dip galvanized or powder-coated in colour.
